UNDERGRADUATE TRAINING AT MEDICAL UNIVERSITY – PLOVDIV
Master’s degree programs:
- Medicine – 6 years (10 semesters and 12 months pre-diplоpma clinical clerkship);
- Dental Medicine – 5, 9 years (10 semesters and 9 months pre-diploma clinical clerkship);
- Pharmacy – 5 years (9 semesters and 6 months pre-diploma clerkship)
The students who complete successfully the full course of studies and pass the State Assessment Examinations receive a Master`s Degree in Medicine /Dental Medicine/Pharmacy and the professional qualification of ‘Physician’/‘Dentist’/‘Pharmacist’.
The University offers also English language training in Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy for foreign students.
Post-Bachelor Master`s degree programs:
- Master of Healthcare Management – 1 year (2 semesters);
- Master of Social Activities and Public Health Management – 1,5 years (3 semesters);
- Master of Public Health and Healthcare Management – 1 year (2 semesters);
- Master of Physiotherapy, Wellness, SPA and Balneotherapy – 2 years (4 semesters)
Bachelor’s degree programs:
- Nursing – 4 years (6 semesters and 9 months pre-diploma clinical clerkship)
- Midwifery – 4 years (6 semesters and 9 months pre-diploma clinical clerkship)
- Healthcare Management – 2,5 years (5 semesters)
Professional Bachelor’s degree programs:
- Public Health Inspector, Assistant Pharmacist, Medical Laboratory Technician, Physiotherapist, X-Ray Laboratory Technician, Dental Technician, Medical Cosmetics and Nutrition and Food Safety Instructor – 3 years (6 semesters). The training takes place in the Medical College.
All programs at Medical University – Plovdiv are full-time.
Foreign citizens may apply for training in:
– Bulgarian language course (all specialties) – in case they successfully pass the entry tests in Biology and Chemistry in Bulgarian and are rated in the final rating list of admitted students or pass one-year Bulgarian language preparatory course and after it successfully pass the entry tests in Biology and Chemistry in Bulgarian and are rated in the final rating list of admitted students;
– English language course (Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy) in case they pass the entry tests in Biology and Chemistry in English and are rated in the final rating list of admitted students or pass one-year English language preparatory course and after it pass the entry tests in Biology and Chemistry in English and are rated in the final rating list of admitted students.
